As we move through another busy stretch of the season, it is a timely moment to remind all members of the importance of upholding the values and standards that support a safe, fair and positive football environment.
Everyone involved with North Wellington Football Club—whether players, coaches, referees, volunteers, supporters or parents—is also a participant in the wider New Zealand Football community. That means we are all expected to follow the NZF Code of Conduct whenever we take part in football activities.
This Code exists to protect and support everyone in the game. It is built around principles that align strongly with our own club values of inclusion, respect and integrity, community and ambition. It encourages all members to act with honesty and fairness, to take responsibility for their actions, and to treat others with dignity both on and off the pitch.
To put it simply, we ask all members to:
These expectations apply at all times, on the pitch, on the sidelines, at training, and anywhere else football is played or supported. Serious or repeated breaches of this Code can result in disciplinary action from New Zealand Football. This may include suspensions, fines, loss of competition points or forfeiting of matches. These are outcomes we all want to avoid.
We understand that football can be emotional and competitive. That passion is one of the reasons we love the game. But it must be matched by a commitment to fairness, respect and accountability. Every member of our club plays a role in setting the right tone and creating the kind of culture we are proud to be part of.
Thank you for continuing to represent North Wellington with pride, for supporting each other in the right way, and for helping us build a strong and positive environment across every level of the club.
