At North Wellington, we are passionate about promoting women's and girls' participation in football. We offer various programmes and initiatives tailored to girls who wish to immerse themselves in the beautiful game. Whether it's playing in mixed teams on Saturday's or joining our Girls Only Sunday League (GOSL), we have options to suit everyone's preferences.
Wondering which grade you can play in? For Saturday Mixed Football, female players have the option to request to play "down a grade" without needing special permission. To help clarify eligibility for the 2026 season, we've prepared a table outlining the details.
When it comes to the Girls Only Sunday League, our grading system is slightly different. Grades in GOSL are organized into two-year bands instead of single years, providing a unique structure for our girls' teams.
Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, there's a place for you in our girls' football programs at North Wellington Football Club!
Registrations for the current season are now closed.
If you’ve missed the deadline but are still keen to play, please get in touch, we may be able to fit you into a team.
Email clubmanager@northwellingtonfootball.com with your age group and playing experience, and we’ll let you know if there’s space available
GOSL Football Leagues are Wellington Regional Leagues and games are played anywhere in the Wellington region, including the Hutt Valley and Kapiti Coast.
What do you need? Players will receive a North Wellington FC playing shirt for the season, which should be returned at the end of the season. Club shorts and socks can be purchased online via TBC
