North Wellington Football Club is looking for a dedicated and proactive Assistant Coach to join our Women’s First Team. This is a vital support role focused on creating a high performance environment where our players can excel both on and off the pitch.

The Role

The Assistant Coach plays a key part in the daily operation of the squad. You will be responsible for ensuring our athletes have the support they need to perform, while helping to implement the tactical vision of the coaching staff.

Key Responsibilities

Team and Training Support

  • Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan, deliver, and review high quality training sessions.

  • Support the implementation of the team’s technical and tactical strategies.

  • Provide individual feedback to players to assist their personal development and performance goals.

Player Welfare and Environment

  • Help foster a positive, inclusive, and professional team culture that aligns with our club values.

  • Act as a key point of contact for athletes, ensuring their wellbeing is a priority within the team environment.

Match Day Operations

  • Assist with match preparation, including video analysis and opposition reviews.

  • Manage logistical aspects of match days and team travel.

  • Contribute to in-game management decisions and post-match analysis.

Leadership and Development

  • Contribute to the long term growth of the women’s space at North Wellington FC.

  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a deep commitment to the team.
