VACANCIES

Strength & Conditioning Coach

About North Wellington FC

NWFC is more than a club, we’re a thriving community built on respect, integrity, inclusion, ambition, and local spirit. Our emphasis on growing home-grown talent powers our success, and we take pride in developing our players both on and off the pitch.

The Role

North Wellington Football Club is looking to elevate our athlete development environment, and we are calling on qualified Strength & Conditioning coaches within our community to help drive player performance, injury prevention, and physical readiness.

Whether you are looking to manage an entire S&C setup or simply contribute your expertise to a specific component, we want to start a conversation with you.

Who You'll Work With:

Our performance pathway spans both youth development and top-tier senior football:

  • Talent Development Programme (TDP): Mixed U14, U15, U16, U17, as well as Girls U15 and U17 squads.

  • Senior Teams: Men’s First Team & Women’s First Team.

Flexible Roles: Build a Setup That Works for You

While an overall lead for the full programme would be fantastic, we are open to splitting the role or tailoring responsibilities based on your availability and specialty. We want to work with the right people to design a setup that suits everyone.

Options to lead include:

  • Gym-Focused Delivery: Lead tailored strength, power, and movement development sessions based at the Results Room facility.

  • Pitch-Focused Delivery: Take charge of matchday/training dynamic warm-ups, structured cool-downs, load monitoring, and field-based injury prevention protocols.

What We’re Looking For

  • Relevant qualification in Strength & Conditioning, Sports Science, or a related field.

  • Experience or strong interest in developing youth athletes (U14+) and/or senior high-performance squads.

  • Collaborative mindset to work alongside head coaches, technical staff, and medical teams to build resilient, match-ready squads.

Let’s Have a Conversation

If you have the skills and passion to help build robust, well-conditioned athletes, let's talk about how this role can work for you.
