Reporting to the Director of Football (strategy) and Club Manager (operations), this full-time role is responsible for:
Leading all operations and communications across our junior and youth social football programmes
Strengthening pathways for junior, youth, and female players, including pre-TDP and academy programmes
Delivering high-quality, age-appropriate training frameworks and game day experiences
Mentoring and upskilling coaches across junior and girls’ teams
Driving female football growth, from girls-only grades to women’s first team and reserves
Planning and delivering holiday programmes, skill centres, and goalkeeper development initiatives
You’ll work flexibly across the week and weekends, supported by a forward-thinking football department and a club committed to values-led development.
You are a motivated football practitioner with a proven track record in youth or female football environments. You’ll be comfortable leading both on and off the pitch, and just as capable in front of a room of parents as you are on the training ground with young players.
A NZF “C” Licence (or currently working towards completion)
Strong planning and administrative skills
Eligibile visa to work in NZ
Experience in coaching, mentoring, or football programme delivery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Passion for youth development, inclusivity, and community football

As an Assistant Coach, you will work closely with the Head Coaches to help deliver a high-performance training and match environment, ensuring players are well-prepared for competition. North Wellington FC is looking for a dedicated Scoreboard Operator to assist during Men’s and Women’s First Team matches from March to September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the Club and be at the heart of matchday operations.
Role Description
As a Scoreboard Operator, you will be responsible for:
Operating the scoreboard during all home matches for our Men’s and Women’s First Teams.
Ensuring accurate and timely updates of the score, match time, and other key details.
Requirements
Availability to attend all Men's and Women's home matches throughout the season.
A basic understanding of football scoring and match flow.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay focused for the full match.
No prior experience required—full training will be provided!
