Sunday was the busiest weekend yet with 4 games being played at Alex Moore. It was great to see the Hub and turf full of life with some fantastic football on show. Last week the groups worked on possession as the key focus and this came out during the games with some brilliant passages and confidence shown on the ball. A real highlight was the U15 CDL side who fought back from 2-0 down to draw late on 2-2. This came through a great second half display where they stuck to their principles and got their rewards.
Looking forward to another exciting weekend with lots of great football on display.

Match Report – U13 TDP vs Upper Hutt
The team delivered another strong performance this weekend against a determined Upper Hutt side, who were clearly motivated to avenge their pre-season defeat. We started the match confidently, moving the ball well, utilising our wide players effectively, and opening the scoring early. However, Upper Hutt responded quickly with two goals of their own, signaling their attacking intent. Despite this setback, the boys remained composed and committed to our game plan—drawing on the principles we emphasised in pre-match discussions and training sessions.Their resilience paid off, as we regained control of the game and added three more goals before halftime. Notably, Dylan scored a sensational third goal—a perfectly struck long-range effort that curled into the top corner. We went into the break with a 4–2 lead. The second half saw the team continue with the same intensity and focus, adding five more goals and conceding just one.Final Score: 9–3This result keeps us at the top of the table. Special mention to Alex G, who netted a hat trick to extend his lead in the race for the Golden Boot, and congratulations to Arlo, who earned MVP honours for an outstanding display of composure and determination while covering at center back.

U14 Girls TDP v's Upper Hutt by the day's captain Leah
We started with good intensity, winning the ball in challenges. Our passing up the pitch was good, and we created good attacks out wide finding space to move forward. We were all connecting lots of passes and reading the game well. The teams support and movements off the ball helped us to create a lot of great attacks in the 2nd half. Our defence was strong throughout the game, and they remained calm under pressure, keeping other team out.The team played really well, and everybody worked hard for each other.

Petone started with the kick-off and immediately looked like the better team. We were getting caught out by their press and didn’t react or respond in a way that could combat it. We kept trying to play out from the back, but they kept winning the ball and creating promising attacks. One of these eventually led to a scramble in the box and resulted in a goal for Petone. After this, we adapted. We started playing long balls and finally looked like we were playing the football we knew we were capable of. However, just before halftime, they scored another goal after we got caught playing around at the back.In the second half, we came out looking like a different team. We were dominating, forming presses of our own, creating chances, and looking solid defensively. We kept up our intensity, and eventually Seb got a cross in, which led to a mistake by their defender and resulted in an own goal.We continued to look far better than them, attacking, moving the ball well, and creating chances, but it seemed we just couldn’t find that final goal. That was until Zach broke the line and delivered a great cross, leading to a goal by William. The match ended in a 2–2 draw

Match Report: TDP U16 Girls vs Karori
Collectively one of our strongest displays in recent weeks. Watching from the sidelines you could see our 352 system clear as day and the girls all did great jobs to stay structured and disciplined both on and off the ball. Although not creating too many clear chances the game was well balanced. We did start conceding a few shots however our defence ensured players were challenged when shooting and Emily was relatively unchallenged in the first half.Second half was a continuation and it was great to see that the subs never impacted the flow of the game. Unfortunately Karori scored with 2 long shots, one following a well worked move and the other courtesy of the wind.Things to work on, especially with chance creation and patterns but I’m proud of how we have created a platform to be competitive in all games.POTM x2 - Emily (an amazing job filling in for Yang in goal) & AJ, a very composed display and great understanding throughout.

Match Report: U17 TDP vs Olympic
After a tough start to the season, the boys came in determined to secure our first win.We began with good energy and found space out wide, but Olympic’s movement through the middle proved difficult to contain. They took the lead around the 30th minute after capitalising on a loose ball at the edge of the box. We struggled to regain momentum before halftime and went in 0–1 down. After regrouping we came out stronger, tightened things up defensively, and looked more composed. Around the 60th minute, our tireless captain Jett chased down a long ball and finished well to level the score 1-1We continued to press and created a few golden opportunities through Yenul and Jett but the Olympic keeper, equal to the task made some superb saves.Late in the match, Olympic punished us on the counter, scoring twice—once off a rebound and again in the final minutes—to end it 3–1. The effort and attitude from the lads was excellent, and we keep pushing forward.
