Get Involved with the Ford - Fair Play Player of the Month

At North Wellington FC, we’re proud to be part of a football community that values not just skill and talent, but also character. That’s why we’re encouraging all our junior team coaches to get behind the Ford Fair Play – Player of the Month initiative, run by New Zealand Football.

Each month, coaches can nominate a player who has demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect, both on and off the pitch. Whether it’s helping a teammate up, showing leadership during a tough match, or simply playing the game with joy and inclusiveness, these are the moments worth celebrating.

What is the Ford Fair Play Certificate?

It’s a recognition of the values that matter most in football:

• Enjoyment

• Inclusion

• Collaboration

• Respect

• Ambition

The selected player receives a certificate and becomes eligible for:

• Monthly regional prize packs from NZ Football

• A chance to win the grand prize at season’s end: an epic Ford Fair Play pack and an NZF coaching session for their team

How to Nominate:

1. Select your player of the month based on the values above.

2. Present them with the official Ford Fair Play Certificate.

3. Take a photo of the player holding their certificate.

4. Upload the photo via the official NZ Football form here to enter the national draw.
